The EPA Advises that you:

  1. Get your home tested for radon - it is quick and inexpensive.
  2. If the radon level is 4 pCi/L (picocuries per liter), or higher take action with fixes to your home.
  3. Radon levels less than 4 pCi/L still pose a risk, and in many cases should be reduced. EPA estimates that radon causes thousands of cancer deaths in the U.S. each year.
